about

Le miel Cakes

As a couple, we were looking for a career that is both enjoyable and allowed us to work side by side. This is how we chose our common passion, baking. As we began our new life in Canada we decided to hone our baking and decorating skills by attending various international workshops as well as a baking school in Europe. We first got jobs in well known bakeries and patisseries in order to improve our skills.

Our philosophy

In Le Miel we are trying to bring the taste of sweets from the Middle East and combine it with the elegance of European sweets.

About our future

Once we felt we had gained enough experience, we were finally ready to launch our own brand, our wonderful business: Lemiel Cakes.

The visionaries

Niloofar

Niloo's interest in the world of cakes started when a cake shop opened in her childhood neighbourhood. Her passion for art was notable from a young age, having studied various arts throughout her childhood. She received her Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in diplomatic protocol. However, upon immigrating to Canada, these no longer felt like her calling. She felt as though everything came together at the right time, in the right place, and with the help of her deep understanding of colors from her childhood studies, coupled with her knowledge of structures from her bachelor, she soon realized making cakes was something she was always meant to do.

Sina

Sina started baking in 2015 when he attended a world renowned baking school in Germany. Prior to discovering his passion for baking, in his bachelors he pursued a degree in Architecture. Since was always looking for something that combined his need for a challenge, while creating something beautiful. The world of construction did not allow him to exert the level of creativity he was craving. Baking on the other hand, gave him the opportunity to explore all his creative outlets. He describes his kitchen as a laboratory, where he can create new things. Being a part of people's sweets memory is his favorite part of his job.
